Trío tinerfeño imbuido en el imaginario colectivo y los mitos folclóricos de la mágica y brumosa montaña de Agua García, situada en el barrio de Tacoronte, a los pies del volcán Teide (Tenerife/Islas Canarias). Su música es una explosión de free jazz improvisado donde sofisticadas texturas sonoras surgidas de sintetizadores modulares y guitarra procesada crean patrones rítmicos abstractos y aleatorios con complejas líneas de saxofón que guían al conjunto desde pasajes tranquilos hasta amenazantes estallidos repentinos de ruido y frenesí. Con dos discos editados hasta la fecha y una dilatada trayectoria musical de sus miembros, Cruz Perro Maldito es una rara avis dentro de la escena independiente canaria y el máximo exponente del free jazz de las islas. En 2023 editan su primer disco en vinilo con Keroxen, titulado Truquetín Resorte.

Tenerife trio imbued with the collective imagination and folkloric myths of the magical and misty mountain of Agua García, located in the neighborhood of Tacoronte, at the foot of the Teide volcano (Tenerife/Canary Islands). Their music is an explosion of improvised free jazz where sophisticated sound textures arising from modular synthesizers and processed guitar create abstract and random rhythmic patterns with complex saxophone lines that guide the ensemble from quiet passages to menacing sudden bursts of noise and frenzy. With two albums released to date and a long musical career of its members, Cruz Perro Maldito is a rara avis within the Canary Islands independent scene and the greatest exponent of free jazz in the islands. In 2023 they will release their first vinyl album with Keroxen, entitled Truquetín Resorte.
