GAF y la estrella de la muerte son uno de los máximos exponentes de la psicodelia de nuestro país, siempre hambrientos por experimentar y explorar en nuevos sonidos, estructuras y sensaciones. Sus potentes y lisérgicos directos en formato de sexteto también tienen fama de legendarios. Desde 2011 editan sus discos con el sello barcelonés Foehn Records y han girado por países como Mexico, Colombia, Perú, Chile, China o Japón entre muchos otros, han participado en festivales como Womad, Primavera Sound, FIB Benicasim, Festival Marvin o SKIF Festival de San Petersburgo en Rusia y han colaborado con artistas como Damo Suzuki (Can), Stephen Lawrie (The Telescopes) o Rob Mazurek (Isotope 217, Chicago Underground, Exploding Star Orchestra etc.).

Pyramids es el cuarto álbum de Gaf y la estrella de la muerte. Un LP doble que se editará bajo Keroxen/Discrepant y Foehn Records en octubre 2023. Se trata seguramente del disco más experimental de la formación hasta la fecha y su primer álbum instrumental. Pyramids es fruto de unas sesiones de improvisación y grabación que tuvieron lugar en el Espacio Cultural El Tanque (un enorme tanque de petroleo vacío, en Santa Cruz de Tenerife) durante tres días en la plena pandemia Covid. Sin ideas preconcebidas ni edits posteriores. A la habitual formación de la banda se une también Felipe González Cabezas (batería en Gaf & The Love Supreme Arkestra). Y a diferencia de sus discos anteriores Pyramids explora más el lado del space rock y la electrónica primitiva alemana de los setenta.

Pyramids is the fourth album by Gaf y La Estrella de la Muerte. A double LP to be released on Keroxen/Discrepant and Foehn Records in October 2023. It is probably the band’s most experimental album to date and their first instrumental album. Pyramids is the result of improvisation and recording sessions that took place in El Espacio Cultural El Tanque (a huge empty oil tank in Santa Cruz de Tenerife) during three days in the middle of the Covid pandemic. No preconceived ideas or subsequent edits. Felipe González Cabezas (drummer in Gaf & The Love Supreme Arkestra) joins the usual line-up of the band, and unlike their previous albums Pyramids explores more space rock and primitive German electronic music of the early 70’s
