The Keroxen Festival has been held annually since 2009 at El Espacio Cultural El Tanque (Santa Cruz de Tenerife), an old recycled oil tank that has been used as a center for artistic activities since 1997. It is a metallic space of 50,000 cubic meters, 50 meters in diameter and 18 meters high in which we have gathered in the last 14 years around over 500 local, national and international artists. The festival program has been designed with the aim of promoting cultural exchange and breaking down barriers between the variety of artistic disciplines that are part of our cultural proposal: music, videomapping, performances, visual arts, dance, poetry, new technologies, …
Keroxen is not just a festival or a cultural product to be passively consumed. It is not about seeing art, it is about living it. Keroxen is a rhizomatic project in which atypical connections, experimentation and the most daring sound, visual and artistic proposals are signs of identity. That is why it has been extending its projects to other areas of creation and experimentation such as the Festival Record Label, the Artistic Residencies or the European project Edge.
